Alice Broxton-Bigham Obituary

On October 20, 1955, God blessed the late Tommy Lee Broxton and late Pearlie Mae Hunter with Sister Alice Lee Broxton of Bellwood, Alabama. She was the second of 15 children. Sis. Alice went to Bellwood High School and furthered her education at Enterprise State Community College.

Sis. Alice has been a faithful, hardworking, supportive member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Bellwood, Alabama for 23 years. She worked in the kitchen Ministry for several years, a faithful choir member for years; volunteered to be the Chairperson and President of the Sisters in Christ fellowship and dedicated herself as a faithful member of the Pastor Aid. Sis. Alice continue her mission work when she joined Ladies’ Aid Society #214 in 2017.

One of her favorite sayings, “Down through the years, the Lord has been good to me” and proved this reality by demonstrating the character of trying to be a woman of God and an incredible strong woman. Her heart’s desire was to  leave a legacy to her family of God’s amazing love, grace and mercy,  and was an example to all in her final days that I have a Mansion in Heaven with her name on it.

Sis Alice lived her life selflessly, caring for her children Brooke, Sandra, Kendrick and Parnell.
